Mohs surgery for Chester patients
Mohs micrographic surgery takes the cancer out in thin layers and checks each one under the microscope while you wait. Surgery stops only when the margins are confirmed clear. The result is the highest available cure rate for basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, with the smallest possible wound — which is what makes a good reconstruction possible.
It is particularly worth travelling for cancers on the nose, eyelid, lip and ear, where there is little spare skin and the cosmetic stakes are highest.
